ST. BARNABAS ON THE DESERT EPISCOPAL CHURCH
MASTER PLAN, MUSIC BUILDING, AND CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS
On its 50th anniversary, the parish initiated a strategic plan for the next 50 years. Together with the stakeholders, we evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the existing 10 acre campus, researched alternatives, engaged parish members to identify needs for now and future generations, and formulated goals, priorities and phasing. The resulting plan includes a new music building, expanded parish hall, book store, and renovations to the sanctuary, administrative areas and education buildings.
The new buildings embrace the facade of the historic sanctuary and form a desert courtyard that unites the activities of the parish. Shaded colonnades, terraces, and water cool and enliven the community space.
